The estate
The "Reyane and Pascal BOULEY" family wine domaine is located in the heart of the village of Volnay. This small wine growing village is typical of the Côte de Beaune with its small streets and succession of pretty houses dating largely from 17th and 18th centuries. It sits on a steep hill overlooking Pommard. This appellation has been famous for its fine and elegant wines for centuries and several kings of France are known to have been fond of it.
Domaine Bouley has 11 hectares of vines growing in an ideal location on hillsides. Its vineyards are "east/southeast" facing and in a patchwork of different "climats". This exposure, and the altitude of the vineyards, which varies from 220 to 300 metres, are very conducive to the growing of quality vines.
The domaine produces a range of 10 appellations from the villages of Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, Monthelie, Saint-Romain and Aloxe-Corton.
Reyane and Pascal's son, Pierrick, the 6th generation of the wine growing family, joined his parents for the 2005 harvest, after completing his studies at the wine school in Dijon. Since 2015, this young man has been making his wine on his own, as his parents have now retired. He continues to respect the principles of sustainable viticulture while introducing new winemaking techniques to the domaine.
