Domaine GONON is located in Vergisson facing the famous "Roche de Solutré" (10 km from Mâcon) and has 14 hectares of vines. The origins of the domaine date back to the French Revolution.
Jean-François GONON is an ambitious wine grower. He is part of the new generation of wine growers in his commune, which is energetic, perfectionist and progressive, and to which we owe some lovely quality wines. This is a wine producer who is determined to work in an environmentally-friendly manner. The vines are treated, only after observation and only when necessary. He rejects the systematic treatment of the vine as well as excessive yields. Vinification is traditional in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats. Some wines are also aged in barrels. He produces the most famous wines of Southern Burgundy: Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon Villages White and Red, Burgundy Pinot Noir and Crémant de Bourgogne.
