Belonging to a family of winegrowers for 7 generations, Olivier GIROUX bought in 2002 the Saint-Philibert estate situated in Fuissé, south of the Mâconnais, to which he gave the name 'CLOS des ROCS'. He then undertook a careful management of the vineyards and converted the whole estate to organic farming in order for his wines to be the purest expression of the beautiful soils from which they come. The estate, comprising of almost one single plot on an east-facing hill, extends over 10 hectares of vineyards of the Pouilly-Loché and Pouilly-Fuissé appellations. It has the monopoly of the Clos des Rocs appellation, the most reputable of Loché vintages. The average age of the vines is more than 60 years. Olivier Giroux is a young winegrower full of talent and energy, who produces wines in his image: pleasurable and healthy, with a very expressive and round palate.
