Domaine de la Motte has been a family wine growing business, from father to son, since 1950. The vineyards are all located in the commune of Beine, near Chablis en Bourgogne in the French "department" of Yonne. The domaine works around 27 hectares of vines in the Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru Vau-Ligneau and Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy appellations. Our vineyards, planted on various different slopes, produce Chablis wines which express the magnificent symbiosis of the local Kimmeridgian and Portlandian soils and the Chardonnay grape. The wines are the result of teamwork involving all members of the Motte family. The domaine produces around 100,000 bottles per year which are shipped around the world.
