Born to a family of wine growers from father to son for 11 generations, François Raquillet took over the family estate located in Mercurey, north of the Côte Chalonnaise, with his wife, Emmanuelle, in 1990. The estate extends over 14 hectares of sustainably-grown vineyards located in the Mercurey, Mercurey Premier Cru and Rully Premier Cru appellations. Thanks to the careful work undertaken in the vineyards and on the soils, and the great care lavished on the grapes, harvested by hand then meticulously sorted, François Raquillet has successfully established himself at the forefront of the Mercurey appellation.
